Lecturer Mr Martin Wong Develops “Pure ink” Painting Software 2020-08-05

Dedicating his efforts to ink art and digital art, Mr Martin Wong, Lecturer of the Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design, recently developed “Pure ink”, a piece of painting software which simulates ink diffusion and water-based colouring effects on paper; it also visualises Chinese brush strokes.

46 Lecturers Attend “Blended Learning Essentials” Sharing Session 2019-05-30

Hosted by our Learning and Teaching Quality Committee, the teacher sharing session “Blended Learning Essentials” was conducted on PolyU West Kowloon Campus on 30 May 2019. Two tech-savvy lecturers, Mr Timothy Ngan and Mr Andrew Marcus Chan, shared how they utilised technology to facilitate student learning and inspire students to become independent learners. The sharing stimulated fruitful discussions on blended learning among 46 academic staff members.

54 Academic Staff Members Attend Teacher Sharing Session 2019-04-30

A teacher sharing session, attended by 54 academic staff members, was conducted at PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus on 30 April 2019. Two experienced and passionate teachers, Ms Lydia Lee and Ms Charlie Chen, shared their practices in encouraging students to tackle challenges and to appreciate their self-worth.

Teacher Sharing Session for 49 Academic Staff Members 2018-12-04

Hosted by the Learning and Teaching Quality Committee, a teacher sharing session titled "教與學的小確幸" (A Little Happiness in Teaching and Learning) was conducted on PolyU West Kowloon Campus on 4 December 2018. Teaching Staff Attend Seminar on “Anatomy of a Research Project” 2017-03-23

A research seminar on “Anatomy of a Research Project” was held on 23 March 2017. With Professor JENKINS, Carson Lewis, Visiting Scholar of SPEED, as the speaker, the seminar attracted teaching staff from the Division of Business of HKCC to join. Professor Jenkins shared his experience in conducting research. He also gave some ideas on developing research topics and tips on applying for research funding.

USC Rossier School of Education Doctoral Candidates Visit HKCC 2016-10-04

A group of 20 doctoral candidates and senior staff from the Rossier School of Education, University of Southern California (USA) visited PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus on 4 October 2016 and conducted an exchange session with HKCC’s academic leaders.
