The 19th Joint Graduation Ceremony of HKCC and SPEED was held at the PolyU Jockey Club Auditorium on 23 and 24 October 2021.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) organised the CILTHK Scholarship Ceremony 2020/21 on 9 September 2021.

Three fresh graduates of Associate in Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management), namely Chan Ka-chun, Lai Ka-ying, and Tang Hoi-shan, received the Merit Award in The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) Student Day 2021.

So Tsz-hin, a fresh graduate of Associate in Business (Human Resources Management), received the Outstanding Student Award (Senior Secondary and Tertiary Section) in the Yau Tsim Mong District Outstanding Student Award Scheme 2020/21 organised by the District School Liaison Committee.

Li Suen-chi, a fresh graduate of Associate in Design (Visual Communication), was awarded a scholarship and an internship opportunity for her card game design for People on Board, a social enterprise.

Congratulations to five fresh graduates of Associate in Language and Culture on winning highly competitive awards

Lee Wing-hong, a 2018 graduate of Associate in Design (Visual Communication), received the CreateSmart Young Design Talent Special Award 2020 from Hong Kong Design Centre.

Ho Koon-ngai, a fresh graduate of Associate in Business (International Business), received the Outstanding Student Award (Senior Secondary and Tertiary Section) in the Yau Tsim Mong District Outstanding Student Award Scheme 2019/20

Congratulations to four fresh graduates of the Associate in Language and Culture, namely Lee Yin-man, who won the SOJLEHK Scholarship 2018/19, and Zheng Yanlun Zean, Lee Sin-yu and Lui Hoi-man Holly, who won the SOJLEHK Group Project Award 2018/2019. The scholarships aim at encouraging local sub-degree students to learn Japanese language and enhancing their understanding of Japan. Mr Tsukasa Hirota, Deputy Consul-General of the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong, and Mr Tomofumi Koida, Consul of the Public Relations & Cultural Affairs Division of the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong, attended the award presentation ceremony held on 21 September 2019.

The Annual Alumni Dinner of the HKCC Alumni Association took place on 6 April 2019 at the hall of PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus. With the overwhelming support of alumni, guests and staff, the hall was filled with 25 tables. The HKCC Graduate Scholarship and Bursary were also presented to 49 awardees at the dinner.

Congratulations to Ms Lau Wing-yan Cherry, a graduate of Associate in Design (Visual Communication), who has recently won The Japan Society of Hong Kong Scholarship. Being one of the five winners out of a total of 51 candidates, Cherry received a scholarship of JPY500,000 for studying music and backstage production in Japan for two years from April 2019. Cherry graduated from HKCC in 2016 and was awarded BA (Hons) in Creative Media by the City University of Hong Kong in 2018.The award ceremony was held on 13 March 2019 at Fung House in Central. A touching and inspiring video on the success story of our fresh graduate Ms Chan Lok-yee has recently been uploaded on social media. Lok-yee overcame her congenital visual impairment and articulated to EdUHK’s BA (Honours) in Liberal Studies Education (year three) after graduating from Associate in Language and Culture in 2018.

A total of 35 alumni participated in the HKCC Alumni Association’s activity “HKCCAA x Ocean Park - Behind the Scenes” on 26 January 2019. Our graduates had close contact with various sea animals, such as sea jellies, sharks, and sea lions.

The HKCC Alumni Association Newcomer Welcome Gathering was held at a BBQ restaurant in Tuen Mun on 4 November 2018. More than 100 graduates joined this barbeque gathering to catch up with each other and share their university life.

Congratulations to Chan Ka-wai, Ho Ka-chun and Mak Kin-shing, graduates of the Associate in Language and Culture, who won a scholarship in the SOJLEHK Group Project Award 2017/18. The scholarship aims to encourage local sub-degree students in learning Japanese language and enhancing their understanding of Japan. They proudly received the award with the presence of Guest of Honour, Mr Tomofumi Koida, Consul of the Public Relations & Cultural Affairs Division of the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong, on 29 September 2018.

A fresh graduate of Associate in Design (Visual Communication), Poon Cheuk-hang, showcased his first board game design at the 29th Hong Kong Book Fair held in July 2018. Cheuk-hang was invited by People on Board, a social enterprise which designs and produces board games, to collaborate with The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to design a board game entitled “Animal Rescue Team” to promote animal protection.
