What intrinsic factors make a successful person? Among all possible answers, I believe attitude may be the most important one. Attitude can affect every aspect of our life, including education, career, and life style.
For students, attitudes on learning determine their willingness and ability to learn. A positive learning attitude helps shape their pathways to success. It facilitates the learning process and makes grasping of materials easier. However, to develop and to maintain a positive learning attitude is not so easy. With a myriad of exercises, assignments, projects, presentations and assessments, students are stress out and tired before the end of the semester. Staying motivated becomes the underlining driving force for maintaining positive learning attitude.
Maintaining students' positive attitude towards learning is a process that involves determining the factors which drive the attitude. To stay motivated also requires intense commitment. Students should have a succinct goal of learning, such as studying in a university in two years, and commit themselves in taking steps to achieve it.
With motivation and a positive learning attitude, students will become initiative and receptive in participating in the learning process to experience the satisfaction from learning and to achieve the successful results for their goals.
