Congratulations to five students of the Higher Diploma in Social Work, namely Cai Ching-in, Cheng Yi-ling, Chow Ka-ling, Mok Cho-yu, and Mok Wang-kit, who were awarded the Guiding Star Scholarship 2022/23 on 23 September 2023. The scholarship is sponsored by Drs Richard Charles and Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation and co-organised by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service and Hong Kong Social Workers Association, with the aim of encouraging social work students to strive for improvement in the face of adversity.
This scholarship is highly competitive, with only 20 awardees out of more than a hundred applications each year. Each awardee receives a grant of HK$30,000.
