With the commencement of the 2023/24 academic year on 4 September 2023 for HKCC and SPEED, the two education units of the College of Professional and Continuing Education of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU CPCE), the CPCE Student Affairs Office organised a series of orientation activities to welcome freshmen and help them adapt to college life. These activities included sharing sessions and workshops such as "Get Ready for U and Me", "English Survival", "Campus Safari", "Graduate Sharing – Campus Life, Articulation and Career Plan", and "Time Management Made Easy: Using Apps for Freshmen".

CPCE Employability Services Office also held a wide array of orientation roadshows related to the workplace and entrepreneurship, such as the "Survival Guide for Workplace Freshmen", "Career Portfolio - Starting from Sub-degree", and "Campus Interactive Games - Workplace Intelligence Challenge". Student organisations also set up booths on campus to recruiting members, infusing the campus with a vibrant ambiance.

"In the coming two years, PolyU HKCC new students will have the opportunity to engage in various activities beyond classroom learning. These include overseas study tours, mentorship programmes, Work-Integrated Education (internships), major competitions, and company visits to facilitate students' holistic development. Upon graduation, they can also choose to enrol in a two-year full-time bachelor's degree programme of PolyU SPEED via an internal articulation pathway to obtain a degree awarded by PolyU within a total duration of four years.
