Chan Tsz-hei and Lau Pak-wang Stephen, year-one students of PolyU HKCC's Associate in Design (Visual Communication), each received a Merit Award in the "Plastic-Free Life WhatsApp Sticker Design Competition" organised by the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong. The award presentation ceremony was held during the "Plastic-Free Hong Kong 2023: Plastic-Free Life Fun Day" on 26 November 2023.
With the theme of "Plastic-Free Life", the competition aimed to encourage participants to unleash their creativity and imagination to present plastic-free messages through easily promotable WhatsApp stickers in order to promote green living to the public. The competition consisted of the Student Group and the Open Group, receiving over 400 entries in total.
