On 5 October 2023, 33 students of the Associate Degree Scheme in Humanities and Communication from PolyU HKCC, and the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Scheme in Language and Communication from PolyU SPEED participated in the talk "Reading Word is like Reading People: Graphology, Mind Reading, and Society" delivered by Ms Maria Lam, the first Chinese graphologist in Hong Kong.
The talk, a part of the "AA-Discovery in History and Culture Talk Series", explained the relationship between handwriting, mind reading and society, which not only inspired students to think about the diversity of social cultures, but also expanded their knowledge base and provided practical skills to help them enhance their self-awareness and further understand the importance of interpersonal communication and social connections.
