Selection Criteria for Emblem Design Contest 徽章設計比賽評審準則

  1. Relevance – Does the entry align with the objective of the contest and convey the idea of HKCC 20th Anniversary clearly?
  2. Aesthetic quality – Does the entry achieve visual balance and colour coordination which work well together to create an appealing design?
  3. Originality – Does the entry exhibit originality and creativity?
  4. Compatibility – Is the entry compatible with the HKCC logo in terms of style?
  5. Any other criteria the judging panel considers appropriate.

Selection Criteria for Tagline Creation Contest 標語創作比賽評審準則

  1. Relevance – Does the entry align with the objective of the contest and convey the idea of HKCC 20th Anniversary precisely and concisely?
  2. Originality – Does the entry exhibit original design and creativity?
  3. Any other criteria the judging panel considers appropriate.


Specific Requirements for Emblem Design Contest 徽章設計比賽特定要求

  1. All entries must be presented on A4 paper, with the emblem design centred on the page vertically or horizontally. Each entry should be presented in 2 versions as follows:
    • Full colour version (within 120mm X 120mm) centred on the page with a black and white version (within 50mm X 50mm) on the bottom-right corner of the page
    • Black and white version (within 120mm X 120mm) centred on the page with a full colour version (within 50mm X 50mm) on the bottom-right corner of the page
  2. Use no more than 150 words to describe the theme, values and related ideas.


Specific Requirements for Tagline Creation Contest 標語創作比賽特定要求

  1. The entries for the tagline can be type-written in English only, in Chinese only, or in both languages and be printed on horizontally on A4 paper.
  2. Should the winning entry be an English-only or Chinese-only entry, HKCC has the sole discretion to decide on how to translate the entry into either Chinese or English.
  3. Each Chinese or English tagline should not contain more than 15 words.
  4. Use bold type font within 24-48pt (for English) and 36-72pt (for Chinese).
  5. Use no more than 150 words to describe the theme, values and related ideas.


Eligible Entrants 參賽資格

  1. Staff of CPCE; students and alumni of HKCC and SPEED
  2. Participants may form teams (maximum number of team members: 4)
  3. Participants can take part in either or both contests.


Entry Submission 作品遞交

  1. Each individual/team can submit no more than 3 entries for each contest. Entries and duly completed entry forms (downloadable from www.hkcc-polyu.edu.hk/cc20/emblem_tagline_contest) should be put into a sealed non-transparent envelope clearly marked with "HKCC 20th Anniversary Emblem Design Contest and Tagline Creation Contest".
  2. Submit the envelope to HKCC Information Kiosk (either HHB UG/F or WK 2/F) on or before the deadline.
  3. Late entries will not be accepted.
  4. Participants are reminded to keep a soft copy of their entries.


Rules and Regulations 規則

  1. The submitted ideas, descriptions and creations should be the original work of the entrant which have not been used or published by PolyU, CPCE, HKCC, SPEED and other organisations or on other similar occasions.
  2. The copyright of the entry shall belong to the entrant. However, by submitting an entry, the entrant agrees that HKCC is granted non-exclusive reproduction rights to all contents contained in the entry. HKCC reserves the right to refine, use, or dispose of the entry in any way deemed appropriate.
  3. The entrant will be liable for any claims with regard to the ownership, infringement, copyright abuse and/or any other legal implications as a result of his/her submission.
  4. HKCC has the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contests and disqualify any entrants for misconduct. In the event of any disputes, HKCC reserves the right to disqualify any entries and/or winners. All decisions made by HKCC regarding all aspects of the contests are final and binding.
  5. HKCC reserves the right to award fewer prizes, depending on the extent to which the entries meet the selection criteria.
  6. HKCC reserves the right of final interpretation of all the rules and regulations of the contests.
