Funded by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR), the Putonghua Enhancement Programme "Drama Dreams Taking Off – Putonghua Training Programme for Drama Ambassadors" was successfully launched by HKCC earlier this year.  The project aims to integrate Putonghua learning and promotion of Chinese drama culture among local secondary students.  One of the highlights of the programme was the Opening Ceremony of the Achievement Exhibition held on 27 October 2018 at the Kowloon Park Piazza.  We were honoured to have Dr Choi Yuk-lin, JP, Under Secretary for Education; Dr Liu Jian-feng, Deputy Director-General of Education, Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, as well as representatives from other co-organisers to officiate at the Ceremony.  Among the 24 participating secondary schools, eight outstanding teams were invited to design exhibition boards to promote Putonghua and Chinese drama culture in the community.  In their capacity as Putonghua Drama Ambassadors, the student representatives will present the exhibition boards to tourists and Hong Kong citizens. The exhibition boards were displayed at Kowloon Park during 20-31 October, and will further be displayed at the PolyU Main Campus from 31 October to 11 November and PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus from 11 November to 12 December.
