Jointly organised by Hong Kong Red Cross and HKCC, “Voluntary Teaching and Community Service in Heyuan” was launched on 3 June 2018 for seven-day services. A total of 34 HKCC students participated in the trip and serviced the deprived primary students and local community. They visited local elderly centres and families. Some games and activities were also organised for local primary students. The trip provided a lot of opportunities for student helpers to enhance their leadership skills, creativity and personal development along with their devotion towards the needy. A post-trip sharing session was conducted on 19 June for the participants to share and reflect on what they have experienced and learnt during the service trip.
