This programme aims to develop your foundational generic skills as well as broad-based and professional knowledge in mainly three specialisms: Language Studies, Linguistic Analytical Skills, and Communication in Digital Contexts. Upon graduation, you will be in a position to make an informed choice on further study or professional career development, such as in the fields of communication, digital media and journalism, editing and publishing, education, speech sciences, and speech therapy.
This new programme has yet to graduate its first cohort of students, so no articulation rate and employment rate are available yet. The average articulation rate for the other seven programmes under the Associate Degree Scheme in Humanities and Communication was over 90% in 2023. Among those, over 70% were admitted to government-funded bachelor's degree programmes.

Graduates of the Associate in Language and Digital Communication programme can apply for admission to UGC-funded bachelor's degree programmes in Linguistics and Language Studies, Digital Communication, Media Studies and Speech Sciences.
Graduates can also apply for admission to the self-financed articulation programmes under the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Scheme in Language and Communication offered by PolyU SPEED under the CPCE "2+2" pathway.
