Language and Cultural Exchange Tour to New Zealand
Fifteen students from the Associate Degree Scheme in Humanities and Communication participated in the “Language and Cultural Exchange Tour to New Zealand” from 17 June to 3 July 2017. In the two-week course held at the University of Auckland, our students studied the history of New Zealand, a once British colony, and their Kiwi culture. By staying at host families, they interacted with Kiwis and immersed themselves in a genuine English-speaking environment. Besides museum visits, they also went on excursions to cultural and geological sites such as Rotorua, Waitomo, Matamata and Hobbiton. Through visiting a local school, our students forged bonds with local students from diverse ethnicities, including the Maori and the Samoan.
