Ms Sally Ng received her Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Nursing and Master of Science in Health Care from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1995 and 2004 respectively. She finished her specialty training in Diabetes Nursing at the Institute of Advanced Nursing Studies in 2004. In order to acquire further knowledge of endocrine and diabetes care, she completed a professional diploma in Diabetes Management and Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2005 and attended a related course in General Endocrinology and Metabolism at CUHK in 2008.

Ms Ng has worked in various health care settings including public hospitals, a private hospital and a private specialty clinic. During her work in the Hospital Authority, she was appointed as Honorary Clinical Instructor by different universities to coach and supervise nursing students during their clinical placement. She has been pursuing nursing education as a lecturer from the Nursing School of a private hospital since 2014.

Prior to joining HKCC, she was a ward manager in the Hospital Authority in charge of the Specialist Outpatient Department, Diabetes Centre and Infirmary wards. She has possessed rich clinical experience in medical and geriatric nursing, particularly in diabetes care, quality assurance, and risk management. In addition, she also actively participated in diabetes management and quality improvement projects.
