Ms Zoe Chan holds a Master of Philosophy in English (Literary Studies) and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English with a minor in Communication and Journalism from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

She has been working in tertiary education for a few years. She was a full-time lecturer at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, teaching Higher Diploma students Vocational English and Communication courses including General Business Communication, Survey Report and Presentation, Oral Presentation Skills, Proposal and Presentation, Problem Solving and Persuasion, etc.

With the help of prestigious alumni and the Department of English, CUHK, Ms Chan served as the first-ever president of English Alumni Association, CUHK in 2003. After building up a strong foundation, she has passed on the duties to a devoted team and has continued to be an active member of the Association.

Her research interests include feminism, cross-media comparison between novels and films, women literature, film adaptation, film art, etc.

She enjoys reading both Chinese and English literature, watching movies, listening to contemporary music, travelling, hiking, swimming and all kinds of sports. Above all, she loves travelling the most and she tries to travel every year. Her favorite cities are New York, London and Paris.
