Ms Flora Mak obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Translation and Chinese from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She then worked as a Court Interpreter in the Judiciary for over ten years. During her service with the government, she received a Master of Arts in Translation from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, both by studying part-time. She left the government in 2008 to study full-time. In 2009, she received a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
In 2001, Ms Mak started teaching translation part-time at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She joined HKCC in 2009 and teaches English and translation courses.
Ms Mak is interested in languages, psychology and counselling. During her leisure time, she enjoys reading, watching movies and jogging.
