Ms Sun obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Graphic Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Postgraduate Diploma in Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, both of which helped ground her in both design and education.

Besides being a design practitioner, Ms Sun also served in the secondary education sector before moving to London, a culturally rich city. After obtaining her Masters of Arts in Graphic Design in the London College of Communication, she returned to Hong Kong, ending 11 years of staying aboard.

Besides graphic design, Ms Sun enjoyed various design experience. Her first summer job was plush toy design. She was an illustrator for local children magazines and educational publications. She also worked for a resin figurine design company. In London, her graphic design experience expanded further into website design and construction. In the future, she would like to focus her research interest in design education.
