Research-Scholarly Activities

Interested in philosophy, in 1997 Dr Pei Kong-ngai studied as an external student at University of London (Birkbeck College). His outstanding performance won him University of London Awards for Academic Achievement in 2000.

Dr Pei earned his M.Phil and Ph.D at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The University of Hong Kong respectively.

Before joining HKCC, he had taught in the Department of Religion and Philosophy and the Department of Accountancy and Law at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Dr Pei is interested in a wide range of philosophy subjects, particularly metaphysics, critical thinking, and informal logic. In 2011, he published a Chinese reference book on critical thinking (《思方導航──批判思考導論》).

Dr Pei reads novels and builds Gundam models in spare time.
