Dr Ho is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), and an associate chartered accountant of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Apart from professional qualifications in accounting, she also pursued professional training in education by obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (major in Business and Accounts) at The University of Hong Kong.
Before joining HKCC, Dr Ho taught extensively accounting related subjects, such as Financial & Managerial Accounting, Accounting for Executives, at diploma level and degree level in the School of Continuing Education of Hong Kong Baptist University and HKU SPACE. She was also actively involved in the professional training of young prospective accountants, and was invited to be an Exam Script Reviewer and Exam Marker of the Qualification Program (CPA QP) Examination of HKICPA. She is currently the co-author of an official study text of HKICPA.
At HKCC, Dr Ho teaches subjects relating to Accounting and Finance, including Financial Management, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting and Financial Accounting. She enjoys teaching and sharing her values and professional experiences with students through class interaction and co-curricular activities. Dr Ho is active in student development activities in HKCC and is currently a project owner of the “Further Studies and Career Development”.
Dr Ho’s research interests include the financial impact of political connection on the Chinese State-owned Enterprises, and areas related to CSR, institutional shareholding and analysts followings, etc.
