Dr Theresa Choi attained her Bachelor of Teaching with Honours from Australian Catholic University, Master of Business Administration from University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, and Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Newcastle in Australia.

Dr Choi has always aimed high in advocating the ideas on the whole-person development of students. She was a popular teacher at the Vocational Training Council and had achieved the top rating from student evaluation at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Apart from teaching, her duties as Academic Advisor with School of Continuing Education, HKBU were multi-faceted, which included instructor recruitment, training and supervision, academic advising to course design, leadership in subject teams, development, marketing and quality assurance of various business programmes at postgraduate, undergraduate, professional and diploma levels.

Dr Choi has a diversified business background and over 10 years' management and marketing experience in Hong Kong and Australia. She has developed a global vision and accumulated extensive expert knowledge in various aspects of modern management. Prior to joining HKCC in 2007, she had worked for the Special Projects Team of Invest Hong Kong, Government of the HKSAR to promote direct foreign investment to Hong Kong from various business sectors. In recognition of her outstanding performance, she was awarded the Department's Customer Service Award in 2004 and Director's Commendation in 2006.
