Dr Ivy Chan obtained her bachelor's degree in Management (with first class honors) from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and her master's degree in Business Administration & Information Systems (with distinction) from the University of Central Lancashire. In 2004, she received her PhD in Information Systems from The University of Hong Kong. Her consistent high-level achievements were recognised by her success in being the first graduate at HKU's School of Business to receive both the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Research Fellowship and the Outstanding Research Postgraduate Student Award.
Since 1998, Dr Chan has been teaching and conducting training classes at various institutions including the National University of Singapore, City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Civil Service Training and Development Institute. As for research, on top of her specialised field – knowledge management – Dr Chan is also interested in organisational learning and business strategy.
