This programme will equip you with a solid foundation of generic professional skills and broad-based knowledge for lifelong learning. You will get acquainted with different aspects of advertising design, such as advertising and promotion, marketing, branding, advertising production, etc. After graduation, you will be able to pursue further studies in related disciplines or a career in a design discipline. In 2016, the articulation rate for this programme was over 78%.

You are required to take, in two years, 18 - 20 subjects in total, comprising 12 - 14 General Education Subjects and 6 Discipline-specific Subjects.

 

General Education Subjects

 

8 - 9 Compulsory Subjects

  • Creative and Design Thinking
  • English for Academic Studies (Design) I
  • English for Academic Studies (Design) II
  • Fundamental Visualisation Skills
  • Information Processing and Quantitative Methods
  • Introduction to Visual Studies 
  • Multimedia Fundamentals
  • Practical English for College Students^

 

@Taught in Putonghua
~Students who are non-Chinese speakers, or whose Chinese standards are at junior secondary level or below are required to take this subject.
^Students with Level 3 or above in HKDSE English are exempted from taking this subject.
